Frequently asked questions
Answers for founders, CTOs and operations leaders.
Straight answers about how we engage, what we build with, who owns what, how we treat your data and what it costs. If your question is not here, ask us on the right — a person replies, not a bot.
Working with Internet Pros
Internet Pros is a technology company, not a web-design shop. Since 2005 we have designed, built and operated custom software, mobile apps, web platforms, AI and automation systems, network and IT infrastructure, and the marketing and print that go with them — for companies that want one accountable partner instead of five vendors. We are headquartered in Miami with teams in New York, Madrid and Bogotá.
Anything from a focused automation that saves a team ten hours a week to multi-year platforms: CRMs and ERPs, customer portals, iOS and Android apps, e-commerce, data pipelines, AI assistants and secure networks. Well-defined scopes are delivered at a fixed price; ongoing product work runs as a retainer or a dedicated team.
With a discovery call to understand your goals, users and existing systems. Within two business days you receive a written proposal with scope, timeline, deliverables and price. Once approved, a kickoff sets the team, the communication channel and the first sprint. There is no charge for the discovery call or the proposal.
Yes. Our teams in Miami, New York, Madrid and Bogotá cover US and European time zones and work in English and Spanish. Contracts, invoicing and support are handled from the US.
Software, apps & platforms
A modern, typed stack: Next.js and React with TypeScript for web, Node.js, Laravel/PHP 8 and Python for services and APIs, Swift/Kotlin or React Native with Expo for mobile, PostgreSQL/Supabase and MySQL for data, and AWS, Vercel and Cloudflare for hosting and edge. We pick the combination that fits your team and budget — and we document it so any engineer can pick it up later.
You do — 100%, including source code, designs, cloud accounts and domains, transferred as milestones are paid. Repositories live in your organization from day one, and every project ships with documentation and a handover session. No proprietary lock-in.
Yes. We start with a technical audit (architecture, security, performance, cost), then stabilize what is running and modernize it incrementally — migrating legacy modules to a current stack without a risky big-bang rewrite. We regularly inherit systems from previous vendors.
Yes. We handle store listings, privacy disclosures, TestFlight and internal-testing tracks, review submissions and updates. Our own Internet Pros app is live on both stores, so the process is one we run continuously, not occasionally.
Through their APIs. Typical integrations include Stripe, QuickBooks, Twilio, Mailgun, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, HubSpot, Monday.com, Shopify, ERPs and phone systems. If a system has no API we build a secure bridge around it.
AI, automation & data
Lead routing and CRM sync, quoting and invoicing, daily and weekly reports, document intake with OCR, email/SMS/WhatsApp sequences, social-media publishing, scheduling and reminders, e-commerce order flows, camera and IoT alerts, and any process that today lives in a spreadsheet and a person's memory. We map the process first, then automate it with the fewest moving parts.
Yes. For legal, financial, medical or other confidential records we deploy on-premise AI robots: local language models (Ollama, Llama, Mistral) running on servers you control, inside your network. The data is never sent to a public AI provider, access is role-based, and every action is logged.
Least-privilege access, encryption in transit and at rest, secrets kept out of code, signed NDAs, and no training of AI models on your data. Where regulations such as HIPAA or GDPR apply we design the architecture, logging and retention around those requirements from the start and document how each control is met.
Whatever fits the job: OpenAI GPT-5, Anthropic Claude, xAI Grok and Google Gemini through their APIs, plus local open models when data must stay on-site. We build with the Vercel AI SDK, LangChain and retrieval (RAG) over your own documents, and connect models to your systems with tool integrations rather than copy-paste prompts.
Infrastructure & security
Yes. Network design and cabling, firewalls and VPNs, Wi-Fi, servers and virtualization, cloud migration, backup and disaster recovery, security cameras and NVRs, and managed IT with monitoring. Infrastructure is designed alongside the software so both are supported by the same team.
Every system we operate has uptime and error monitoring, automated backups and a maintenance plan with defined response times. You get a real person on the phone or chat — 24/7 for critical incidents on supported systems — and a monthly report of what changed and what to plan for.
Process & commercial terms
In two-week sprints with a demo at the end of each one on a staging environment you can try yourself. Requirements, decisions and acceptance are written down, QA runs before every release, and you always know what is done, what is next and what it costs.
Fixed price for defined scope, billed by milestone; time-and-materials or a monthly retainer for ongoing product work; dedicated teams for larger programs. Proposals itemize what is included, and change requests are priced before work starts — never after.
A 30-day satisfaction guarantee on every delivered milestone: if it does not meet the agreed acceptance criteria we fix it, or refund that milestone. You own the code and accounts, all work is documented, and you can leave at any time with everything in hand.
Launch is where the value starts. We offer maintenance plans that cover monitoring, security updates, OS and dependency upgrades, small improvements and a quarterly roadmap review, so the system keeps working and keeps paying for itself.
